North Oakland Headwaters Seeks Executive Director

Application Period is Now Closed.  North Oakland Headwaters Land Conservancy (NOHLC) is seeking a dynamic, articulate and experienced leader to serve as Executive Director to support the organization’s mission to conserve the woods, fields, streams and other natural resources in the headwaters area of the Clinton, Shiawassee, Huron and Flint Rivers.  The Executive Director is responsible for overall leadership, operational management, and financial performance of the organization. Compensation is commensurate with experience.  To express your interest in this position, please submit your cover letter, resume and compensation requirements to: mail @ nohlc.org .  The position is open until filled with an anticipated start date of 7-1-15.   


Agriculture Easement Grant Opportunity

The American Farmland Trust (AFT) is accepting applications to its Owen and Ellen Love Family Farmland Protection Fund.  AFT will be offering up to $110,000 in grants this year to eligible Michigan local units of government and land conservancies to assist with the purchase of conservation easements on eligible farmland.  Grants are meant to close a funding gap to match or supplement other public or private funding to purchase a permanent agricultural easement.
