Making Conservation More Real, Relevant, and Vital: June 7, 2014
This retreat is a requirement for those land conservancies wishing to apply for Heart of the Lakes' Competitive Funding Opportunity. At least one staff and one board member must attend from each organization, or two board members from all volunteer groups. The workshop is free and open to potential applicants, as well as those who do not wish to apply for funding. The retreat will be held at Saginaw Valley State University in the Health and Human Services Building from 10:30 am - 3:30 pm. The retreat will provide community engagement tools, evaluation measures, and help participants create models for engaging new audiences and partners. Guest presenters include Peter Lane from the Institute for Conservation Leadership and Doug Sarno from The Participation Company.
