Agriculture’s Conference on the Environment (ACE) is scheduled for Thursday, January 27, 2011, at the Lansing Center in downtown Lansing.

The conference which begins at 9 AM will focus on key environmental and management topics important to Michigan’s farmers. The main themes for 2011 are Building Consumer Trust; Developing Efficiencies to Increase Profitability; Legislative, Food Safety and Economic Impacts; ManagingInputs to Maximize Profit and Reducing Farm Energy Costs to Increase Profitability. State and regional experts, along with farmers, will lead these eighteen break-out sessions. Keynote speaker Dr. Bill Beranek, Jr., President of the Indiana Environmental Institute, Inc. will start the conference by sharing his expertise and experiences. Charlie Arnot, CEO of the Center for Food Integrity will close the conference with tips on helping farmers share their own story and promoting agriculture’s strength.
