Websites, eNewsletters, Twitter, Blogs. Staying on top of all these exciting communications tools can be daunting, especially if you do other jobs at your land conservancy. So how can you use Social Media to effectively engage the peopleyou wish to reach, without driving yourself crazy? How do you blend traditional communications with new? And how do you motivate people to action?Join your peers and Deb Fellows, Founder and Editor-In-Chief of MyNorth Media, for an inspiring afternoon to learn how you can link your electronic communication tools and create a powerful web of influence. About Deb Fellows

Deborah Wyatt Fellows started Prism Publications, Inc. when she was 23 years old, launching the award-winning flagship publication, Traverse, Northern Michigan’s Magazine, in June, 1981. From that very first issue, Deb and her staff have stayed true to their mission of inspiring people to both celebrate and protect Northern Michigan's natural resources, intact, small communities and the unique life found in the region.

In 2007, Deb changed the name of the company to MyNorth Media to reflect the transition she was asking her staff of 25 to make, from a traditional magazine publishing company to a multi-media company. Now, MyNorth Media offers website design and development services to Northern Michigan, with a client list of almost 50 organization ranging from public schools to insurance companies to non-profit organizations.

Deb was a founding board member for the Grand Traverse Regional Land Conservancy and served a nine-year term as a board member the head of Communications, Membership and Outreach committee for the Leelanau Conservancy.Deb has been a member of Rotary, served on the Human Rights Commission, several Chamber committess and the Munson Corporate board. In addition,

Deb has dedicated her professional life and personal efforts to learning how to best communicate the celebration and protection of Northern Michigan’s natural resources, entrepreneurial spirit, vibrant communities and outstanding non-profit efforts.She and her husband, Neal, have four children and live in Leelanau County.
